How do I get an estimate for installation?

You can give us a call on 01702 615333 and speak to one of our operatives to get a quotation over the phone. Please have a measurement of the fencing needed to pass to our sales team and an idea of a ‘style’ of fencing you would like. Normally we can do quotations on the spot or in busy times,  within a day. Email is the preferred method of sending quotations now.

Any photographs of the area are ideally required to attain a price.

Once you have your quotation and would like to proceed, we can organise one of our estimators to come round and finalise the price for you and discuss any queries you may have.

We also have an online ‘Get A Quote’ form that can be filled in if you need to contact us out of work hours and we aim to get back to you as soon as possible. A photo can also be uploaded to the form for us to view.

When will your fence be fitted?

Upon confirmation of order, we will provide you with a fitting date, approximately between 1 to 5 weeks ahead. However, this timescale will vary depending on the season.

How long does the installation take?

Installations in average sized gardens can usually be completed over a period of 1 to 2 days. We will advise you of this on estimation. We always endeavour to leave our clients ‘safe and secure’ if boundaries are left exposed.

Every fence is different, therefore costs for installation will always vary depending on factors such as fence style, ground levels, removal of foliage, access etc.

Which fence is my responsibility?

If you check your deeds on your property, it will tell you which fence is yours.

There is no general rule about whether you own the fence on the left or the fence on the right of your property. It is the vendor who breaks up the land into smaller parcels before selling each parcel individually who assigns responsibility for the boundaries of the new land parcels that he creates. In the conveyance deed (or the transfer deed) the boundaries for which the purchaser is responsible

What is the maximum height of fence I can have?

The height of fences is a matter of planning policy. To find out what is allowed in your area, refer to your deeds on your property.

What if my neighbour won’t renew their fence?

You can leave the old fence where it is and erect your own fence within your boundary if you like. There will now be two fences running alongside each other.

Should I have the “good” side of the fence or should it face my neighbour?

There is no law that says the “good” side should face your neighbour, you may choose the style and colour of your choice.

If your fence is on a roadside or on an alleyway, we suggest that especially on feather edge panels, that the “good” side faces out. This is only to prevent the horizontal rails being used as a stepping aid into your garden.

When is payment required?

On confirmation of your order, we would require a 30% deposit for securement of the works to take place. The balance is due on completion of works. Payment can be made over the phone or by BACS transfer. Please note that we charge 1% extra to accept credit card payment. Debit cards do not incur a charge.

Will my fitting date change?

Sometimes the inevitable happens and your arranged fitting date may have to be changed. This is not how we like to operate, but sometimes can be out of our hands due to circumstances such as:

  • Machinery failure
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Illness

We do our very best to overcome these situations and will endeavour to try to get a fitting team to you as soon as possible, either on the same day or at soonest availability. Our operatives are on hand on 01702 615333 to help.
