It is designed to be a wood primer and needs a weather resistant top-coat. Either water-based or oil-based top coats can be used.
This lastest Wood Preserver formulation is propiconazole free and is suitable for DIY and professional use. It includes the insecticide permethrin so is not to be used on beehives or bee keeping equipment, as it is hazardous to bees. As well as active ingredients against fungi and insects it contains an alkyd binder that forms a primer coat with excellent application properties and a short drying time.
